Program Highlights

Free Classes: Laredo College provides free classes to help students prepare for the GED® test.

Flexible Scheduling: Classes are offered at various times and locations to accommodate different schedules.

Individualized Instruction: Instructors focus on individual student needs, offering practice tests and study aids to boost test-taking confidence.

Additional Support: Complementary courses such as Digital Literacy, Distance Learning, EL Civics, Family Literacy, Financial Literacy, and Workforce Preparation are available when enrolled in an ESL or HSE (GED) program.
Enrollment Requirements
To enroll in the GED® preparation program, individuals must:

Be at least 16 years old and/or beyond the compulsory school attendance age.

Not be enrolled in, or required to be enrolled in, secondary school under state law.

Lack mastery of basic skills or not have a secondary school diploma or equivalent.

Special Services Center
Any student attending Laredo College who has an impairment which substantially limits a major life activity is eligible to receive services. This includes students with learning disabilities, those who are physically challenged, those with mental health issues and those with other circumstances limiting major life activities.
